Terms of Service

Last updated: [effective date]

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Green-Zip LLC ("Green-Zip," "we," "us") for using our website at www.green-zip.com, our web app, and our delivery service (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

Green-Zip is a Minnesota business that delivers cannabis products from a single licensed retail location [license type and number] to customers' homes in our delivery area, under the rules of the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management ("OCM").

2. You must be 21 or older

  • You must be at least 21 years old to create an account, view our menu, or place an order.
  • You agree to give accurate information, including your legal name and date of birth, and to keep it up to date.
  • Before you can see the menu or order, you must upload photos of the front and back of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID and a selfie. We review these to confirm your identity and age. We may approve or reject a verification at our discretion.
  • One account per person. Your account is personal; don't share it or order for someone else.

3. ID check at the door

  • At delivery, the person who placed the order must be present and show the same valid government photo ID. The driver will check it and take a photo of it, as required for our records.
  • We will not hand over an order if: the ID is missing, expired, or doesn't match the account; the person appears to be under 21; the person appears intoxicated; or the delivery would break the law or these Terms.
  • If we can't complete a delivery for any of these reasons, the order is returned to the store and may be cancelled. [Describe any fee for failed deliveries, or state that none applies.]

4. Where we deliver

  • We deliver only to private residences in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding cities listed at checkout. We don't deliver to businesses, schools, parks, hotels, dormitories, or other public places, or to any location where cannabis is prohibited.
  • Delivery hours and estimated arrival times are estimates and can change.
  • While your order is out for delivery, we may show you your driver's approximate location once they're nearby. We never show the location of our store.

5. Orders, limits, and availability

  • Each order must follow Minnesota's per-transaction purchase limits (for example, limits on flower, concentrates, and edible THC). Our checkout enforces these limits and may change them to match the law.
  • Products, prices, and availability can change at any time and are subject to stock.
  • Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may refuse or cancel any order, for example if a product is unavailable, there's a pricing error, or we can't verify your eligibility.
  • A minimum order amount may apply. [Confirm.]

6. Prices, fees, and taxes

  • Your order total includes the product price, a delivery fee, a service fee, and applicable taxes (including Minnesota's cannabis gross receipts tax and sales tax). The final total is shown before you place your order.
  • Payment is currently collected at the door by debit card or cash. [Update when pay-by-bank is added.] Have the exact total ready; drivers carry limited change.
  • [Tipping policy, if any.]

7. Cancellations, returns, and refunds

  • You can cancel an order in the app until the store starts preparing it. After that, message us.
  • For safety and legal reasons, cannabis products can't be returned once delivered, except as required by law. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, contact us within [X] hours and we'll review it. [Attorney: confirm Minnesota requirements for returns, recalls, and product destruction.]
  • Refunds, if approved, are issued [method and timing].

8. Using cannabis responsibly

  • Cannabis can impair your ability to drive and operate machinery. Don't drive or operate machinery after using cannabis.
  • Keep cannabis products out of reach of children and pets.
  • Cannabis may be harmful during pregnancy or breastfeeding and can interact with medications. Talk to a health care provider about any health questions. Nothing on the Service is medical advice.
  • Edibles can take up to two hours to take effect. Start low and go slow.
  • Use cannabis only where it's legal, and never in public places where it's prohibited.
  • [Attorney: add any warning language OCM requires for retailers and deliveries.]

9. What you agree not to do

  • Buy for anyone under 21, resell products, or take products outside Minnesota.
  • Give false information, use someone else's ID, or try to get around our age or ID checks.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse our drivers or staff, including through the chat.
  • Interfere with or misuse the Service, or try to access data that isn't yours.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or the law, or to protect our staff, customers, or license.

10. Messages and notifications

We may send you service messages about your account and orders (such as email confirmations, order updates, and chat messages). If you turn on notifications, we'll send alerts to your device; you can turn them off at any time in your browser or device settings. Chat for an order closes once it's delivered or cancelled, but we keep the messages as part of our records.

11. Federal law notice

Cannabis is legal for adults 21+ in Minnesota under state law but remains illegal under federal law. Our Service is offered only in Minnesota, in compliance with Minnesota law.

12. Disclaimers

The Service and products are provided "as is" and "as available." Product descriptions, including THC content, come from the products' labeling and suppliers; effects vary by person. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Green-Zip is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the order involved. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under Minnesota law. [Attorney: review.]

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Minnesota law. Any dispute will be handled in the state courts located in [county], Minnesota, unless we agree otherwise. [Attorney: decide whether to add arbitration or small-claims terms.]

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll let you know by email or in the app. Using the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
